Q: ARE THERE ANY COVID RESTRICTIONS?
A: At the present time, there are no restrictions to enter this years event. Guests are not required to show a vaccination card or test at this time. But if you are not feeling well, please do not attend this event.
Q: I've purchased my tickets...when will the actual tickets be emailed?
A: All tickets purchased will be emailed within 7 days of purchase.
Q: What time should I get there?
A: As early/late as you want. Gates open at 10am for Tiger Tent ticket holders; General admission tickets enter at 11am. The main entrance for all tickets in 2023 will be on the south end of the park, near the entrance to the administration building. At the entrance, there will be a line for those bringing in ice chests, and a line for those w/o bags or ice chests to search. Music starts at 11am. Seating is assigned so you'll still have a place to sit even if you come late. Crawfish should be ready for pick up around 1:30pm. The party's over at 5pm. Best to come early, to avoid the entry gate lines, and enjoy the fun.
Q: Where do I park?
A: We suggest public transportation - trolley, Uber, Lyft or taxi. But, there are many surface lots within a few blocks of Waterfront Park. Most have a charge for parking. Metered spots are also in the area, but these are primarily 2 hour parking....so please do not park in these spots or you may receive a parking ticket.
Q: I'd like to bring my friend in a wheelchair. Is there any accommodation for guests with disabilities?
A: By all means bring your friend. There is a separate entry line for those with disabilities; look for signs. The tables meet ADA recommended height. And there are wheelchair accessible porta-potties on site.
Q: Can I bring a beach umbrella or canopy tent and erect it over the table?
A: You can bring a 10x10 canopy (NO LARGER!), but not an umbrella. But stakes are not allowed. Everything must be free standing as underground electrical wires and sprinklers criss-cross the field. You don't want to be responsible for causing a power outage or a water leak. Otherwise wear sunscreen and a big hat!
Q: Who can attend. What about my kids?
A: At this time, all attendees must be 21 years of age or older. No one under 21 years of age will be allowed to enter the event...this includes infants and toddlers.
Q: Beer? Will I have beer with my crawfish??
A: Beer is included with admission all during the event. Last call is at 4:15pm, and all taps are closed at 4:30pm.
Q: What if I don't drink beer?
Non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. sodas, water) are included with your admission and available in tents in each corner of the venue. Please remember that beverages of any kind will not be allowed thru the entry gates. This will be strictly enforced and bags will be inspected at the Gate.
Q: Can I bring my own food?
A: While we do have additional food options available for an extra cost, you may bring you own food. Many people bring snacks & side dishes to share with table mates. But again, no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed into the venue.
Q: I'm allergic to shellfish and my friend is a vegetarian. Can we get a reduced price?
A: Unfortunately, no exceptions. The price covers more than the crawfish. It covers expenses for the bands, site permits, security, party rentals, porta-potties and more. It's also a fundraiser for scholarships for San Diego students attending LSU, and local charities. Proceeds go to good causes -- Louisiana education and local non-profits.
Q: What about vendors? Anything else for sale?
A: LSU San Diego will be selling Crawfish boil souvenir T-shirts. The LSU Alumni Association will be selling LSU logo items. There will be several additional vendors including food, plus a silent auction and more.
Q: What happens to the leftover crawfish if any? Can I buy some to take home?
A: If there are any extra Crawfish, you may be able to purchase Crawfish to Geaux on your way out of the event. First come, first served…Cash Only. Often times there are excess boxes for sale on a first come first served basis at a very low cost; bring cash to our Crawfish to Geaux booth before you leave.
Q: Is there a smoking area at the event?
A: Waterfront Park is a no-smoking venue. Cigarettes, e-cigs & vapes are strictly prohibited
